“TV at times can be a grind getting shows prepared and making deadlines. Being a part of the board and NATAS provides some inspiration to keep pushing and striving for success. It is also an exciting chance to be rewarded for your hard work and to see the talents of other journalists.”

Kenny Reynolds is a four time regional EMMY® award winner.  He has been working in the Little Rock, AR television market for over twenty years, and currently holds the title of Assistant News Director at KATV.

Kenny began his broadcasting career at KCON-AM as a radio announcer while attending the University of Central Arkansas.  He entered the television field as a master control operator, but quickly shifted his focus to newsgathering.  Kenny has worked as a photojournalist at both KARK and KTHV in Little Rock, and also had a brief stint at KOAT in Albuquerque, NM before accepting his current position at KATV in 2011.

Reynolds has collected numerous industry awards – including multiple honors from The Associated Press, NPPA, and SPJ.  He’s taken home one National and 8 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, and has been recognized with thirteen Mid-America EMMY® nominations.

Kenny’s hobbies include playing music and making documentary films.  “See ya Sunday” – his full-length documentary on the Little Rock Kickball Association – was featured at the 2011 Louisville International Festival of Film.

Kenny’s wife Lauren shares his passion for photography – so much that they started their own freelance business in 2010.  The pair has four children: Kris, Molly, Laiken, and Karlie.
