Brett Akagi earned 21 regional Emmys for his work at WDAF-TV in Kansas City, Missouri, KARE-TV and the Star Tribune in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He’s had a number of ‘fun’ jobs in his 27 year career; photojournalist, ENG operator, video editor, show creator/producer, technical director, MMJ, assistant news director, Director of Photography, university adviser/instructor, NPPA instructor, social media content producer, freelancer, mentor and career coach. Akagi currently serves on the Education Committee and served on the board for the Upper Midwest chapter.
