PJ Randhawa joined the 5 On Your Side news team in May 2015 as an Investigative Reporter. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Canada, PJ is happy to now call St. Louis home!
She came to St. Louis from Columbia, South Carolina where she worked as an investigative reporter and anchor. During her time in the south, PJ covered South Carolina politics for five TV stations in the tri-state area. She also helped uncover corruption amongst state university trustees, shed light on illegal drugs being sold in city smoke shops, and traveled to Normandy, France to cover the 40th commemoration of D-Day.
In 2013, PJ was honored in London, England with the International Sikh Award for her political reporting. In 2014, PJ was honored with the SCEA School Bell Award for her education reporting.
PJ also spent time in Rapid City, SD where she worked as a morning news anchor and reporter for two years at the local ABC affiliate.
PJ recently received a Missouri Broadcasters Award for her series ‘Abusing the badge’ about police officers accused of sexual assault. She’s also recently been honored with two Emmy Awards, including one for her investigation into dangerous pharmacy practices.
PJ holds a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from DePaul University in Chicago. In her free time, you can find her staying active in Forest Park, or trying Italian restaurants on the Hill.
